Dry dog shampoo isn’t meant to replace bathing. Regular bathing will help to prevent sores, skin rashes and other skin problems that dry dog shampoo cannot combat. Don’t be confused by product names and keep in mind that dry dog shampoo is not the same thing as dog shampoo for dry skin.

Be sure to look at labels and try to choose natural products that contain aloe, oats, and other organic moisturizing and conditioning ingredients. Avoid chemicals that may cause your dog to have an allergic reaction. Not all dry dog shampoos are equal. Sometimes it may be necessary to change brands until you find the right one for your pet.
